We welcomed baby Spike into our family on Thursday, November 26th, 2009 at 11:20 am! Dexter is a big brother now, and I am going to combine our blogs into one big family blog! (URL to follow!)

Unfortunately, Dexter fractured his foot on Thursday night, and is now in a cast for a few weeks. Poor little guy! But he has handled it well. Love to all… more soon.

We are really enjoying our last little while as a family of three, and in about 5 weeks we will be “an even bigger family!” as Dexter likes to tell us. So while we wait for the changes to happen, we have been enjoying Dexter as he grows and changes so much.
This is a terrible picture, but I wanted to get a good shot of the chopstick action:
Dexter LOVES sushi, and even eats raw fish now! Last night he had fresh sockeye salmon and negitoro maki. He says Futomaki is his favourite.
This is the tree I designed for our neighborhood art project. We hung it up today in the park, but only got about half of the leaves up. More photos to follow when it is done.

We had a wonderful week with Grandma Jaye and Poppa Spencer! They came to celebrate Dexter’s 3rd Birthday, and it was great fun…
Cupcakes at preschool! I made mini Vanilla cupcakes for Dex’s class.
Dexter requested Vanilla cupcakes with strawberry on the inside and green frosting for his actual birthday, and that’s what he got!

We had a great trip to Vancouver Island last weekend. We visited with Grandma Vivian & Grandpa Nick and spent some time with Jill & Laura… Auntie Jill & Auntie Laura… ahem. We spent a lovely afternoon at the Allan residence, which included a boat ride and lots of rock throwing. Alex is an expert stone skipper, and you couldn’t ask for a better place to skip.
The weather was lovely, and we had great visits with Family & Friends!

Dexter LOVES going to school. He is so excited to go every day, and really happy when I pick him up. I am really glad he is there and having all these great experiences.

August has been a really busy month, which can be deduced based on the lack of blogging! We went to New Jersey & North Carolina for a fun filled summer vacation with Grandpa Jaye & Poppa, and all of the Lambert Aunts & Uncles! Here are a few pics that we took…

Dexter had a mysterious foot injury for a few days and couldn’t walk, so he did a lot of hopping and Alex carried him around… what a guy! We even went to the clinic to get an Xray, but nothing showed up, and in a few days he was fine. Shrug. Here’s a pic of him sitting in the middle of the Downtown Mall after hopping across.

We helped Cleo celebrate her 3rd birthday last weekend! It was lots of fun… with cake, popsicles, punch, and CANDY! Dexter was on a real sugar high!
We went to 3rd beach with J & J last week. It was great, and Dex loved the nice cool salt water!
