Canada Day on Granville Island · Jul 1, 01:04 PM by Holly Cruise

Since Alex had to work today (boo) I decided to run down to GI early this morning and get in on some of the festivities. It was great, and we got out just before it started getting really insane.

Getting his face painted and…

Having a hard time sitting still.

Going….

Going….

Gone!

Happy Canada Day Everyone!

Happy Father's Day! · Jun 21, 12:12 PM by Holly Cruise

Dexter made this amazing collage for Alex for Father’s Day. (It’s the three of us at the beach, just in case you couldn’t decipher that.) We had a great pancake breakfast, and now we are off to Chilliwack for an afternoon with Grandpa Ken & Grandma Blanche. We miss our Poppa Spencer and Grandpa Nick who are far away on this Father’s Day, but we are thinking of you and can’t wait to visit again!

We Love A Parade! · Jun 21, 12:07 PM by Holly Cruise

Alex and Dexter went to the Point Grey Fiesta yesterday while I was off shopping for the day. There was a parade and a carnival, and it sounds and looks like the guys had a great time!

On the Ferris Wheel, Dexter was fearless!

Dexter’s first roller coaster! Having a blast!

Riding on the ferris wheel, with Daddy sound effects!

I call this video “Bad Parents” because Dexter says “What’s that Idiot!?” when the car honks its horn, something he learned from yours truly. And of course, Alex laughs, because it’s funny.

Mother's Day & Other Stuff... · May 11, 08:55 AM by Holly Cruise

Singin’ in the rain…

Looking at ants.

Our project at art class this week. Dexter did about 85% of this, which is a lot! NOTE: Upside down, sorry.

At the park with Dad & Grandma Vivian.

Grandma Vivian took a picture of the Jackson Pollack style fish that Dexter painted at last year’s MacDonald Park party.

Grandma Vivian & Granny Teresa took Dexter on the Stanley Park train! FUN!

Mother’s Day on Granville Island. I though it would be fun to go see the baby geese :) We had a really nice visit with Grandma Vivian, thanks for the special time!

And Happy Mother’s Day, Mommy! I miss you!

Mega Bloggo Post · Apr 28, 07:32 PM by Holly Cruise

It’s been a while since my last post. We have been kept pretty busy around here. Dexter is getting SO big, and he talks constantly about all kinds of subjects, including correcting me for the first time by telling me that he has a tricycle, not a bicycle.

Here are a few from my cell phone:

Mid-Air!

An old one from in front of Mara’s old building last summer.

Itsy-Bitsy Spider!

Time Machine back to the present: Some gorgeous cherry blossoms in our neighborhood.

Beautiful tulips on the side of our house. Cutie Pie!

A trip to Van Dusen Gardens….

I knew I was missing some culture in Vancouver…

We have been on lots of trike rides in the past month. Dexter is really good at steering and pedaling now!

ViewMaster!

Playing “Hide & Explode” in the pillows.

A trip up to Cypress Mountain to check out the view. Vancouver in the background here…

Riding the trike to the community centre.

One last shot of the beautiful pink blossoms in our neighborhood.
